Hundreds participate in annual Walk to End Alzheimer’s disease in Mason

MASON, Ohio (WXIX) - Hundreds of people from Butler and Warren counties participated in a walk to end Alzheimer’s disease Saturday morning at the Cronin-Nixon Park in Mason. A total of 660 people and 114 teams have registered for the walk to help donate money to the Alzheimer’s Association. The goal is to raise $255,000. Coroner: Human remains found in Colerain Township

COLERAIN TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WXIX) - A death investigation is underway after human remains were found in a home in Colerain Township, according to the Hamilton County Coroner’s Office.

The home, located at 2909 Greenbrook Lane, was recently sold at a sheriff’s auction to new owners from California, the coroner’s office explained.

The owners had a cleaning crew come into the home and found the remains on May 3 around 4:45 p.m., the coroner’s office and a police report said.

Thousands lost power as storms ripped across Greater Cincinnati

CINCINNATI (WXIX)—Thousands of Duke Energy customers lost power during several rounds of storms across Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky on Tuesday.

Nearly 5,000 customers in southwestern Ohio were without power at the height of storm damage early Tuesday night.

That number was down to 2,000 by 11:30 p.m. Tuesday and it’s reduced to just a couple hundred Wednesday morning.
